Snooker/Pool ball floating on liquid metal mercury

That's a solid pool-ball, floating on liquid mercury metal. The ball is so heavy that if you dropped it in water it would sink like a stone, but the metal mercury is fluid but heavier than lead. So, the ball floats. The beer glass is a standard old-style British pint, which would be used for beer. Put liquid metal mercury in it and there's about 17 imperial pounds of fluid, so, snooker balls float.
